INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT FOR DISTANT COURSES BASED ON PROJECT APPROACH

Annotation:

Urgency of the research. Distance learning in universities is a way to improve the quality of modern education. The creation of quality distance course is a challenge and requires a comprehensive approach and involvement of various specialists.

Target setting. The urgent task for most universities is the building of effective model of interaction between project participants for creating distance course and developing the corresponding software decisions.

Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Usually, authors create distance courses without integrated development environment and without quality check at every stage of the process.

Uninvestigated parts of general matters defining. The project approach in creating software products is widely used. But for distance courses creating the project approach is not used. The integrated development environment that allow to create, check and to control quality of learning materials has not been presented yet.

The research objective. The comprehensive model for creating distance courses implemented in Sumy State University as an integrated development environment is considered in this paper.

The statement of basic materials. There have been presented the basic conceptual model framework and the main project participants for creating distance courses. The paper gives the description of the steps for creating distance courses: development of teaching materials, methodological, scientific and content check of learning objects, complex verification of distance course. The qualitative and quantitative indicators have been used to determine the quality of training materials and to analyze the state of distance courses development.

Conclusions. Integrated development environment allows the implementation of comprehensive approach according to the presented model for high quality learning content in distance courses.
